Access role settings for the Project, Task, and Timesheet features help you manage your team more systematically. This way, each employee with the Super Admin and Admin roles can have the appropriate authority according to their respective responsibilities.
Important
- System managers can only create and assign tasks to employees under their authority (subordinate).
- Supervisors can directly view and monitor work reports and time records of subordinates if this feature is enabled in ESS Settings - Module.
- Your company can customize access permissions for Project, Task, and Timesheet on a custom basis for each user role.
Below is a guide for setting access roles for Project, Task, and Timesheet.
Go to the Settings menu.
Click the Users tab and select Access role.
Then, complete the following sections.
No. |
Column Name |
Description |
| 1. | Role name | Give a name to the access role in this column. |
| 2. | Role |
There are 2 (two) Role options you can choose for setting access rights for Project, Task, and Timesheet: - Super Admin: As the role with the highest level of authority, the Super Admin has full control over the system. By default, all types of employee requests require approval from the Super Admin, unless the approval flow has been adjusted based on specific job position rules. The main functions of this role include managing the entire employee database, modifying company operational policies, and assigning roles to other users. - Admin: Generally, the authority of an Admin is almost the same as a Super Admin but with restrictions on accessing salary and tax information. The Admin role usually focuses on data entry processes. |
| 3. | Add | Use filters to limit access rights based on Organization, Job Position, Job Level, Branch, and SBU, so that this access setting applies only to employees within those categories. |

In the Role Type section, select Custom. In the Project, Task, and Timesheet sections, there are options to access specific features such as Project, Task, Timesheet, and Group for Payroll. You can check “View” if you want the selected role to have access to view the Project, Task, Timesheet, or Group for Payroll. Also, check “Add/Edit” if you want the selected role to be able to add or modify data in Project, Task, or Group for Payroll.
Important
- Specifically for Timesheet, you can only check “View”.
- The Edit feature for Task is limited, meaning not all Edit functions can be performed. This may occur due to the presence of Project Admin access on the respective project. Once the access role settings are complete, click “Save”.
This concludes the guide for setting access roles for the Project, Task, and Timesheet features, as well as the Group for Payroll. To learn about access settings for other features such as Document Template, you can access it here.
