When creating a new Cycle Performance and evaluation, there is a feature called Layered Review that you can activate to structure the review process for performance and contract or probation evaluations. In this case, reviewers will take turns completing the form according to the established order. For more details, see the following steps.
-
In the Review methods section on the Create new cycle page, enable the Manager toggle, then click “Manage”.
- Alternatively, you can set the Layered review by checking the Layered review toggle and then specifying the Review sequence type as shown below.
- In addition to when creating a Performance review, you can also set a Layered review when creating an Evaluation review. In the Additional review aspects stage, check the ‘Layered review’ toggle, then determine the Review sequence type. -
Then on the General tab, check the Layering review process section and determine the Layered review order.
- In this case, the Super Admin role must determine the first order of the layering review according to the hierarchy in Talenta.
- There is only 1 option that will be selected by the Super Admin to determine the order of reviewers. If the system cannot determine the order based on the options specified by the Super Admin, the system will determine the order according to the reviewer's name. Then there will be a notification stating that the Super Admin needs to sort it manually. - Next, the New cycle with the Layering process will appear on the main Review cycle page as follows. Click the "Actions" button on the Cycle review that has been created then select "Layered review order".
The following display will then appear. Basically, our system will arrange the order of reviewers based on the identifier that was selected when creating the Cycle review. Super admins and other roles that can manage cycles can arrange them one by one or in large quantities on the Cycle detail page. To be able to move the Reviewer order, click the up or down arrow button, or click and hold the 'six-dot' icon button as follows then slide the order. Once the reviewer order has been set, click “Save”.
To edit the reviewer order at once, here’s what you need to do. Check the employee name as follows, then click “Actions” and select “Edit layered review order”.
Then the following display will appear. Download the available xls template file, then fill in the new data in the template. Then click “Browse” to re-upload the template that contains the new data. Click “Import” to continue.
If our system cannot determine the reviewer order based on the choices specified when creating a cycle, a warning icon will appear as follows on each member cycle.
Then the following information will appear stating that the system cannot determine the appropriate reviewer order. Next, our system will sort it alphabetically from the related employee name. The warning icon will disappear after the Super admin clicks “Save” on the latest data.
When the review period begins, the first reviewer is required to assess the employee first before the second and subsequent reviewers. Then the system will limit the second or subsequent reviewers to make an assessment. This will also affect the Pending action page on the Mekari Talenta mobile application.
The first reviewer will not be able to see the results of other reviewers on his review form, but the next reviewer will be able to see the results of the previous reviewer.
That's the process of layering reviews on Mekari Talenta. Next, learn about the Performance Review Cycle display with Display Team Review Result for Manager here.
