In addition to general overtime settings, Mekari Talenta allows you to set a maximum limit for overtime requests. You can also customize specific policies for certain employee categories according to the regulations applicable at your company.

The following is a guide on how to manage overtime settings in the Maximum Overtime tab.

  1. Go to the “Settings” menu.

  2. In the Time menu, click Overtime.

  3. Click the “Maximum Overtime” tab.

  4. Click “Create maximum overtime rule” to create the maximum overtime setting for employees.

  5. On this page, you can set the maximum overtime by completing the information in each section.

No. Column/Button Name Description
1 Rule name You must enter the name of this setting.
2 Daily overtime

You can select the maximum daily overtime, including working days (Working day) and days off and holidays (Day off & holiday). For each category, you can choose between the following two options:

  • Unlimited overtime: Overtime hours are not limited.
  • Maximum overtime: Overtime hours are limited. You must specify and enter the maximum number of overtime hours for employees.
3 Weekly overtime

You can set the maximum number of overtime hours per week for employees by choosing between the following two options:

  • Unlimited overtime: Overtime hours are not limited.
  • Maximum overtime: Overtime hours are limited. You must specify and enter the maximum number of overtime hours for employees.

You can also select “Include day off & holiday” to include days off and holidays in the weekly calculation.

4 Monthly overtime

You can set the maximum number of overtime hours per month for employees by choosing between the following two options:

  • Unlimited overtime: Overtime hours are not limited.
  • Maximum overtime: Overtime hours are limited. You must specify and enter the maximum number of overtime hours for employees.

You can also select “Include day off & holiday” to include days off and holidays in the monthly calculation.

Important
Please note that the Maximum overtime rule per month, per week, or per day is based on the overtime request, not overtime payment.
Example: You have set the maximum overtime setting to 50 hours. Then, when monitoring employee overtime data in Employee attendance, you see that the employee has the following overtime.

Although the paid overtime duration is only 49 hours (due to rounding down/round down on April 29, 2026), subsequent overtime requests or corrections cannot be submitted. This is because the total Overtime Request in the system has reached the maximum limit you previously set, which is 50 hours.

  1. Then, click “Assign & update employee” to select the employees to whom you want to assign this policy. Select the employee name in the sidebar of the Select employee list, then click “Submit.”

    - Click “Filter” to make your search easier. This allows you to select employee names based on certain categories, such as Branch, Job level, Job position, etc.
    - Search for an employee name by typing it in the “Search bar.”

  2. In the next section, you can select “Assign rule to new employee” to determine which category of new employees will receive this maximum overtime hours setting.

Next, you can select options based on their subcategories. For example, if you select Branch, you can specify which branches new employees must belong to in order to receive this setting.

  1. Click “Save” to save, or Cancel to cancel creating the new setting.

  2. The new setting is successfully saved and listed on the Overtime settings page.

  3. Click “Action” and then “Edit” to edit the setting. You can also delete it by clicking “Action” and then “Delete.”

  4. To delete settings in bulk, select the Rule names, then click “Delete rule.” This action moves all employees who receive this setting to the default setting (the original setting).

Important
Consider the following scenario:
