How to Manage Master Overtime

Master Overtime is used to add overtime policy settings if there is more than one overtime policy at the company. The settings on this menu are made based on the concept of overtime settings in the Overtime Company section. Previously, you can also learn how to set a master overtime policy for all employees, here.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Settings menu.

  2. Click “Overtime” in the Time section.

  3. Click the "Master Overtime" tab.

A. How to Create Master Overtime

  1. Click "Add" to add an overtime policy.

  2. Enter the name of the overtime policy in the "Name" section.

  3. Select the compensation type in Compensation Type Allowed.

  4. Check "No Rounding" if there is no rounding of minutes in the overtime policy.

  5. Enter the rounding for overtime minutes. To add a rounding layer, click "Add More."

  6. In the Overtime Rate section, enter the hourly overtime rate in the Amount column.

     

    The overtime rate only applies if you select the Custom multiplier option.

  7. Alternatively, you can select Salary to calculate overtime rates based on a specific percentage of your salary (as per company policy). Check "Include backpay" if payment is made with your salary.

     

  8. Or select to choose the type of Allowance you have previously created.

  9. In the Compensation Rate, if you choose per day, enter the nominal overtime component calculated per day in "Amount".

  10. Meanwhile, if you choose a Custom multiplier, the nominal overtime component is calculated based on the multiplier according to company regulations.

  11. Enter the minimum overtime duration settings to be calculated.

  12. Click "Submit" to save.

    - Minimum overtime payment before (minutes): The minimum duration before the start of overtime calculation before the start of work hours. If filled with 60 minutes, then the overtime calculation will start at the 61st minute. However, the first 60 minutes will still be paid.
    - Minimum overtime payment after (minutes): The minimum duration before the start of overtime calculation after the end of work hours. If filled with 60 minutes, then the overtime calculation will start at the 61st minute. However, the first 60 minutes will still be paid.

  13. Check Automatic Deduct Overtime Duration if you want to reduce the total duration of employee overtime if it reaches a certain number of minutes.

B. How to Change Shift Multiplier Calculation

  1. On the Master Overtime page, click the “shift multiplier” icon.

  2. On the following page, click the “+ Add shift multiplier calculation” button.

  3. Select the shift you want to apply.

  4. In the Compensation rate section, select Per day if overtime is paid at a certain nominal amount per day.

  5. Select Custom multiplier to set shift calculations based on weekdays or holidays.

Furthermore, you, as the super-admin, can enter employee overtime data. Because you have a role as a Super Admin, you can enter overtime data without needing to go through the approval stage.
