How to Issue a Tax Withholding Certificate (e-Bupot)

Now, you can issue Withholding Tax Certificates or e-Bupot directly through Mekari Talenta. According to government regulations, payroll is subject to income tax (PPh 21/26). Mekari Talenta is now integrated directly with the DGT system through Mekari Klikpajak, making the PPh 21 reporting process easier because you can now issue and submit Coretax directly.

You can achieve this integration by subscribing to Mekari Klikpajak. If you are already a Mekari Klikpajak subscriber, please contact our support team via email at support-hr@mekari.com to initiate the integration.

Here are the steps to create and issue withholding tax receipts directly from Mekari Talenta.

  1. Go to the Payroll menu, then click Payroll processing.

  2. Then, navigate to the Payroll History page, and you will see the Payroll List page as shown below. Click on the "Proceed Payslip" for the payroll month for which you want to issue the e-Bupot. 

    You can use the "Filter" feature to display data for the desired year.

  3. Next, select one of the employee's payslips that has been locked to publish the e-Bupot by clicking the "Three-dot" icon, then clicking Publish e-Bupot.

    You can also publish e-Bupot in bulk by checking the employee names. Checkbox, then click “Actions”, after that select Publish e-Bupot.

  4. On the pop-up that appears, you can click “Publish”.

    Important
    - The system will take some time to issue the e-Bupot.
    - You can choose to process the issuance using disbursement and PPh 21 payments.
    - You can reload the Payroll History page to view the latest issuance status in the e-Bupot status column. When the e-Bupot status has changed to Published, you can access the withholding tax certificate issued by the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) through Talenta. However, to manage and report issued withholding tax certificates, you can do so on the DGT's Coretax website.
