How to Manage Restricted Employees (Candidate Blacklist) Settings

Through Mekari Talenta, you can manage the Restricted Employee page and feature created to help companies with high recruitment cycles, such as F&B, manufacturing, and hospitality companies. Restricted employee is a feature that can help HR reduce the risk of hiring new employees with a blacklist due to cases, fraud issues, or others. This feature will automatically provide a warning if there are employees in the Mekari Talenta database who are restricted employees.

Important
- Only users with the Super Admin/Admin role can access this feature. Therefore, you need to set up specific role access in more detail beforehand, learn the guide here.

There are 2 (two) ways to make arrangements, individually and in bulk, here are the steps.

A. Add Restriction (Unit)

  1. Go to the Settings menu, then select Company.
  2. On the Restricted employee page, click “Add restriction”.
  3. Then, in the sidebar that appears, fill in the empty columns.
No. Column/Button Name Description
1 Field type Determine based on the type of personal data information whether this restriction will be enforced, for example NIK, telephone number, or email.
2 Restricted data Complete the personal data information of candidates or former employees who have been restricted.
3 Reason Complete the reasons why the employee received the restriction.
4 Period Determine the period during which this restriction will apply.
5 No period limit Click this if this restriction is implemented permanently.
  1. If the data entered is correct, click “Save” to save.
  2. Then, the restriction will be saved in the Restricted employee list . To manage the list, study section C.

B. Import Restriction (Bulk)

  1. Go to the Settings menu, then select Company.
  2. On the Restricted employee page, click “Import”.
  3. On the Import restriction page, click “Download template” to download the template. Then, re-upload the filled template by clicking “Browse” or drag and drop the file in the Drop your file(s) here box , then click “Import”.

    Here is an example of an Import restriction template in XLSX format that you need to complete. You can hover over the highlighted section as shown in the following image on your template to see the filling guide.

  4. Then, there is a box display like the following which shows information about the system process of uploading data.
  5. When the system has finished processing the data, the box display will change to look like this. Click “Go to inbox” to go to see the full description.
  6. When you return to the Restricted employees page, the bulk data import process is successful if the list increases according to the template you uploaded.

C. Edit and Delete Restricted Employees

After creating a list of restricted employees, you can manage it. Data list management actions that can be done include changing and deleting. Therefore, make sure that certain roles can perform these actions by setting the access role first.

  1. Click “Actions” then select Edit to change the restriction information, or Delete to remove the restriction.
  2. In addition to deleting restrictions individually, you can do it in bulk by checking the checkboxes of the data you want to delete. Then, click “Delete”.
