Through Talenta Performance, you can create various types of review cycles and calibrate the assessment results using the Calibration feature. This feature allows HR with the Super Admin role to process review results into the calibration process, so that HR and other contributors can adjust the review results according to customizable distribution percentages.
Here are the steps to create a new calibration through Talenta Performance:
Log in to review.talenta.co., then go to the Calibration feature under the Review category. Then, click “Create new calibration” to create a new calibration session.
You will be directed to the Create new calibration page. Enter the Calibration name in the following field.
In the Review cycle section, select the Cycle that has been completed (whose results will be calibrated). You can select more than one review cycle if needed; the system will combine the results using the specified weights. The review cycles available for selection are those whose review periods have ended or have been published.
-
Next, select the Assessment period from the cycle.
You can add other cycles by clicking “+ Add review cycle”.
- If you select more than one cycle, the Scoring display during calibration section will appear. Here, if you choose Compare results, the system will not combine the scores. Instead, the system will prepare a calibration dashboard to display the ratings and review scores side by side.
- If you select the Average final scores option, you will be asked to specify weights for each selected review cycle. The system will ensure the total weight equals 100%. This allows the system to accurately calculate a combined score from various assessment periods.
-
In the Calibration grouping section, choose Single session if all contributors are in the same setup without group divisions. If you select this setting, you must specify the Calibration schedule, such as the start date and the end date of the calibration session. You also need to select contributors involved in the review calibration process, which can be Super Admin, Approval line, or Selected employee.
If you choose Selected employee in the Contributor field, you must select the names of employees to be assigned as contributors.
-
The second option is Period group. You can select this type if you want contributors divided into several groups with different calibration periods and scopes (multiple period). This allows contributor involvement settings and access to calibration results to be customized for each group. If you select this type, you must fill in the Period details such as the start date and end date of the calibration session. Then, select the Group in the available field. If you want to select more than one group, click “Add group”.
Important
Make sure you have created a Calibration group. Learn how to create a Calibration group here. Click “Next” to proceed to complete the last page.
On the Set rating distribution page, you can optionally check “Use ideal rating distribution” if you want to specify the portion (in percentage) for each category of the final score. Then, set the Distribution percentage with a total percentage of 100%. This percentage will be used by the system as a reference to provide suggestions/recommendations for each employee’s category during the calibration process later (using the normal distribution method).
Click “Save” to save the new calibration you have created.
You will then be directed to the Calibration page.
