How to Export/Import the Payroll Component

Besides being able to add payroll component changes manually, you can also add these payroll component changes in bulk by using the Export/Import Payroll Component feature. You can use this feature if you want to change information simultaneously in one transaction.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to Payroll menu.
  2. Select Update Payroll Component.

  3. Click “Update Component”.

  4. Select the type of payroll component that you want to update. Select Adjustment if you want to adjust data that was previously saved in the system, or select Expired if the payroll component has expired.

  5. Complete the effective date of the payroll component, starting in the Effective Date section.

  6. Enter the component change description information if needed in the Description section.

  7. Check the end date information if the component has a usage limit date. So if it has passed the time limit, the nominal component will change to 0 (zero).

    If there are no expiration dates for these components, you do not need to check this information.

  8. Check the backpay information to see if the component has a backpay or a flat payment. Then fill in the effective date of the component report.
    Example: If the increase in the daily allowance should have occurred two months ago, For example, in July, but the new decree came out in September. Thus, in September, employees will receive the new daily allowance and daily allowance backpay from July and August. As a result, the effective date is September 1, and the payment date is July 1)

    If there is no Backpay for the component, you do not need to check this information.

  9. Click "Export" to download the template provided by Talenta.

  10. Fill in the information data in the Update Payroll Component template.

    No Column Description
    1. Id Employee*

    Must be filled in with the ID number of the employee whose payroll component you want to change.

    2. Full Name

    Fill in the name of the employee whose payroll component you want to change.

    3. Component Id*

    Must be filled with the component ID contained in the list of components sheet.

    4. Component Name

    Fill in the payroll component name according to the component name listed on the List of Components sheet.

    5. Old Amount

    Fill in the information on the nominal amount of the old payroll component (empty if new).

    6. New Amount*

    Must be filled with information on the nominal amount of the new payroll component.

  11. Click "Import" to upload the Update Payroll Component template.

  12. The import results will appear as follows.

  13. Click "Submit" to save the data on the changes to the salary components that you have made.

  14. Transactions that you have input will be recorded on the Update history tab.
