How to Manage Company Job Grade and Class in Settings Menu

Employees who work in the HR field, usually need information related to salaries which are divided according to class and class. On Talenta, you can add grade and class information, specifically based on the policies that are implemented.  However, you need to first add the grades and classes you want to add to Talenta, which can be added and updated  manually  or in bulk.

Here are the steps.

A. How to Create New and Edit Grades & Classes Individually

  1. On the Dashboard menu, click the profile icon at the top right.

  2. Then click "Company Settings".

  3. Click the Grade & Class tab in the Company section.

  4. You can add a new  Grade  by clicking  "New" .

  5. Enter the grade name in the  Grade Name section and click  "Save" .

  6. If the grade has been saved, click "Edit" to change the grade or click "Delete" to delete.

  7. You can add a new  class  by clicking  "New" .

  8. Enter the class name information you want to add to the  Class Name section.

  9. Enter the lowest salary limit in the class to be created in the  From  column and the highest salary limit in the class to be created in the  To column.

  10. Select the appropriate Grade for the class you created then click "Save" .

  11. If the grade has been saved, click  "Edit"  to change the grade or click  "Delete"  to delete.

    Salary limits on classes are for information only and do not affect payroll.

B. How to Export, Import, and Update Grade & Class in Bulk

  1. You can export Grade and Class data on Talenta by clicking "Export".
  2. Therefore, Grade or Class data will be downloaded as follows.
    • Grade
    • Class
  3. You can also import Grade and Class data on Talenta. With import, you can add Grade/Class data . Click the "Import" button.
  4. Then, the following options will appear.
    • Import Data: On Grade or Class, you can click "Import" and select Import Data to upload data, therefore the data can be inputted in bulk. Previously, you could download the template first. 
    • Download Template: In Grade or Class, you can click "Import" and select Download Template  to download a sheet template in .xslx format which is used for the Import process later. 
      1. Grade
        You can fill in the Grade name in the column.
      2. Class
        You can fill in Class Name, Grade Name, From, and To according to the column. Click  the Grade sheet  if you need to see a list of registered grades to adjust the data.
  5. Click  "Bulk update"  to  update Grade/Class data in bulk .
  6. Then, the following options will appear.
    • Bulk Update Data: On Grade or Class, you can click "Bulk Update" and select Bulk Update Data to upload data, therefore it can be input in bulk. 
    • Download Template: In Grade or Class, you can click "Bulk Update" and select Download Template  to download a template sheet in .xslx format which is used for the update process later.
      1. Grade
        You can change  (update/edit)  the Grade name in the column.
      2. Class
        You can change  (update/edit)  Class ID, Grade Name, Grade Name, From, and To according to the column. Click  the Grade sheet  if you need to see a list of registered grades to adjust the data.
