How to Import Competency Results Data

In Mekari Talenta Performance Management, there is a page where you can upload competency assessment cycle data from vendors in bulk. This allows competency assessment data such as scores, development suggestions, and talent readiness based on the Current or Future needs category to be managed within the Mekari Talenta application.

Below are the steps to import competency assessment results data from vendors into Mekari Talenta.

  1. Go to the “Talents” menu, then select Competency.

  2. Select “Competency”, then click Import competency results.

  3. On the Generate template tab, you can choose one of the assessment contexts. Here is the explanation.

    1. Select “Current job position” if the competency assessment is for the employee’s current position.

1 Job position Select the job position whose competency you want to assess from the dropdown list. This column is mandatory to determine the competency standard for that role.
2 Vendor Enter the name of the third party or service provider conducting this competency assessment. This column is required with a maximum limit of 60 characters.
3 Employees assessed Select one or more employees participating in this competency assessment. This column is mandatory so that the downloaded template includes the appropriate employee data.
  1. Select “Future job position” if the competency assessment is for employee readiness targeted at a specific future position.

2 Target job level Select the target job level for the employee readiness assessment (e.g., Manager). This column is optional to clarify the role level.
3 Target job grade Select the grade or rank of the targeted job. This column is optional to complete the role qualification details.
4 Vendor Enter the name of the third party or service provider conducting this competency assessment. This column is required with a maximum limit of 60 characters.
5 Assessment date Select the date of the competency assessment using the calendar picker. This column is mandatory to document the evaluation date.
6 Employees assessed Select one or more employees whose readiness for the targeted position will be assessed. This column is mandatory to ensure relevant employee data is included in the template.
  1. Click “Request template” to download the template in xlsx format.

  2. Then, click the “Download” icon and select the “Download” tab. Next, choose the file named ‘External Assessment Template - [job position for competency]’.

  3. Open the downloaded template file, then send it to the vendor to be filled out and completed.

  4. Once the template has been completed by the vendor, you can upload it by returning to the Import competency results page. Then, click the “Upload results” tab and choose Browse or drag and drop the file into the provided box.

  5. If the import process is successful, you will receive an email from no-reply@talenta.com as shown below.

  6. You can monitor the import history on the Import competency results page under the “Import history” tab.

     

    Click “Download log” to download the import log to see which columns were successfully imported and which were not.
