The Live Tracking feature in Talenta makes it easy for you to monitor the location of employees (live location) registered in the company and group them based on location proximity. Through the Segmented Tracking update, the system now automatically records and categorizes employees' daily activities from Clock-In to Clock-Out, such as being at the work location, in transit, or on break. This helps you monitor field activities more accurately for operational needs and payroll calculations. Here are the steps to use Live Tracking.
A. How to View Live Location
Go to the Time menu, then select Live tracking.
You will automatically enter the Live location tab.
Here, you will see the Online tab displaying a list of active employees with location tracking (already clocked in) and the system receiving location/GPS signals. Then, Active with issue contains a list of active employees (already clocked in), but the system detects technical issues or indications of unusual activity (internet connection lost, GPS location off/weak, or abnormal movement patterns). Finally, Inactive contains a list of employees who are inactive and tracked by the system.
-
If you select the Online tab, you will see a list of employees who are currently active and their location distribution on the Map image. Click the name of an employee you want to monitor via live tracking, and you can see the pop-up Overview containing information related to the employee's location.
- On-site: At the assigned location.
- Transit: In transit.
- On break: On break. -
Meanwhile, in the Active with issue list, you can find employees for whom the system detects technical issues or indications of unusual activity.
In the list, you can see the activity status of employees Active with issue, such as:
- GPS disabled: Employee turned off GPS.
- Device inactive: Employee turned off the device.
- Unverified visit: Employee visited an unverified location.
Read the Unusual Activity Rule setup guide here. In the last tab, Inactive, you can see a list of employees who are inactive and tracked by the system (for example: have already clocked out).

You can search for employee locations in the “Search employee name/ID” column or use specific filters by clicking “All filters”.
If you click “Add filters”, a sidebar like the following will appear. Click “+Add filter” to select the category you want to filter. In the example, Activity status is selected.
Then, you can check the checkbox for any types you want to filter. Additionally, you can add other filter categories by clicking “Add filter”.
