  4. Select one of the available goal types: Individual, Team, Organization, or Company. Then, click “Create goal”.

  5. Fill in the required information in the fields under Goal detail and Target.

No. Column Name Description
1 Change the selected goal type Change your selected goal type: Individual, Team, Organization, or Company.
2 Goal owner Change or select the owner responsible for access to view, create, and edit goals.
3 Goal name Enter the goal name.
4 Goal category If you enable Goal category in the goal settings, you must select the desired goal category.
5 Sub-category You can select a goal subcategory (optional).
6 Description Enter a more detailed description of the goal (optional).
7 Goal cycle Select the goal period type.
8 Goal period

Enter the goal start and end dates in the Start Date and Due Date (for Custom only) fields. If you select Monthly, Quarterly, Half-yearly, or Yearly, you only need to select the Start Date, because the system will automatically adjust the Due Date.

The Custom due date must be at least one day after the start date.

9 Measurement unit

Select the measurement unit based on Percentage (%), Number, (number), Amount in a specific currency (Amount), or Deadline. The explanations are as follows:

  • Percentage: If you select the percentage measurement option, fill in the “Start value” field as the initial reference to be compared with the target in the “Target value” field.
  • Number: Use this option if the goal measurement is a specific number. Enter the initial reference value in the “Start value” field to compare it with the final reference value in the “Target value” field.
  • Amount: Select this option if the goal measurement is an amount in a specific currency (IDR, USD, SGD, MYR, etc.) that you can specify in the “Currency” field. Then, enter the initial reference value in the “Start value” field and the final reference value in the “Target value” field.
  • Deadline: The Deadline goal measurement option is used to determine the achievement percentage based on the goal completion date, which you can specify in the “Deadline date” field. If it is updated on or before that date, the achievement is 100%. If the deadline is missed, achievement becomes 0%, unless there are additional rules.

To apply additional rules if the goal is completed after the deadline, you can check Set deadline rules. You must then fill in the following fields:
    • Days exceeded: Specify the number of days overdue.
    • Achievement: Specify the achievement percentage for the delay.
    • Add rule: Add another layer of delay rules (optional).
  1. You can also add a Key result (optional for individual/team/organization goals) to measure your Key Result goals by clicking “Add key result”.

  2. The following sidebar will appear.

    No. Column Name Description
1 Key result name Enter your Key result name.
2 Description Enter a more complete description of the Key result (optional).
    3 Goal direction

Determine the achievement measurement type as needed:

    • Higher is better: The higher the value, the better (for example, revenue).
    • Lower is better: The lower the value, the better (for example, operating costs or response time).

If you select Higher is better, the Target value must be greater than the Start value. Conversely, if you select Lower is better, the Start value must be greater than the Target value.

    4 Measurement unit

Select the measurement unit based on Percentage (%), Number (number), Amount in a specific currency (Amount), or Deadline.

    5 Progress update method

There are two progress update methods that can be selected for goals and key results:

    • Manual entry: Select this method to manually enter the total accumulated achievement.
    • Log-based: This method allows the system to update achievement automatically by adding up each progress update.

If you select Log-based, the system will ignore the goal progress mechanism for the Goal because the goal progress will adjust to the progress of the key result.

  3. You can also add optional settings by clicking Set configuration.

    - In this section, you can determine which contributors have the right to update the goal. To add them, simply click an employee's name in the list on the left so that it moves to the Selected employees column on the right. Using the “Filter” and “Search bar” features will also make it easier to filter and find employee names more efficiently.

    - You can click the “-” icon to remove the selected contributor's name.

  3. Return to the Create new goal page. If the settings details, including the Key results, are correct, check “Submit and create new goal” and “Submit”.
