How to Manage Tasks for Payroll Group

With the role of Super Admin, Admin, or a role with access to view, edit, run payroll, or payroll information, you can manage tasks and payroll groups on the Task page in Talenta. This feature can help you manage payroll based on task completion. Here are the steps to manage tasks for payroll groups.

  1. To access this page, you can go to the Productivity Menu, then click "Project & Tasks".

A.  Task List for Payroll Table

  1. Go to the Group for payroll page, then click the Task list tab. On this page, you can monitor the list of tasks that have been approved and assigned to be included in the payroll calculation.

  2. You can use the filter based on category and month. Additionally, you can search for data in the list by using the Search bar.

  3. You can export data in bulk by clicking the “export” icon.

  4. You can click “Assign to group” to place employees who do not yet have a payroll group.

    You can also assign employees in bulk to a new group or to an existing payroll group by checking the checkbox next to each task name one by one or click “Select all [number] tasks” to check all selectable tasks, then click “Assign to group”.

  5. Then, the Assign to group display appears.

You can choose to assign the task to the following options:

  • New group: Select to create and assign the tasks listed to a new payroll group.
  • Existing group: Select to assign the tasks listed to a previously created payroll group. 
2 Group name You can provide a new group name if you select New group. However, if you select Existing group, you can choose one of the names from the dropdown.
3 Payroll period Click to specify the payroll period month.
4 Search You can type keywords here to search for specific data in the list.
5 Delete Click this icon to delete task names one by one.
  1. Click “Save” to save changes.

B. Group List Payroll Table

Important
- You cannot click Edit or Delete to view details on Payroll Groups that are already active in payroll or payment periods.
- You can click Edit or Delete to view details on Payroll Groups that are not yet active in payroll; users can save or make changes.
- You can Edit or Delete at any time. However, to have this affect your payroll, if a payroll run has already been done for that month, it is recommended to rerun the payroll.
- All activities are logged in the Talenta activity log.

  1. Go to the Group for Payroll page, then click the Group list tab. This page displays a list of Task Group names for Payroll that were previously created. You can perform actions on the group name by clicking “Actions”.

    You can type specific keywords in the Search bar to find data in the group list.

  2. You can select View details to see group details, Edit to modify group details, and Delete to remove it.

  3. If you select Edit, the following page appears. You can modify the group details.

1 Group name You can change the group name. However, if you change the name, make sure to update it in the payroll formula as well. 
2 Payroll period

The payroll period is the payroll launch date set for that group. Click to specify the payroll period month. 

Important
If you change the payroll period or tasks that have been registered after running payroll, you need to rerun the payroll to ensure more accurate results.

3 Search You can type keywords here to search for specific data in the list.
4 Delete Click this icon to delete task names one by one.
  1. Click “Save changes” to save group changes.

  2. Then, a confirmation pop-up appears; click “Continue” to proceed.
