You can create a new review cycle in Review cycle with 3 purpose options: Performance, Competency, and Evaluation Review. For evaluation cycles, in addition to setting a single review period for all employment statuses, you can also conveniently set multiple checkpoints within a single contract/probation period, so you no longer need to manually create and monitor separate cycles for each checkpoint. The Mekari Talenta Performance Management system will automatically create evaluation schedules according to the employee’s join date and end date. A summary of the cycle and its progress can be monitored in the Overview cycle chart. Learn more here.

This guide explains how to create an Evaluation cycle for evaluating employee performance during a specific employment period, such as a probationary or contract period. The steps are as follows:

  1. Log in to review.talenta.co.

  2. From the Reviews menu, click Review Cycles.

  3. Click “Create New Cycle”.

  4. In the Create your cycle pop-up, select Evaluation review. Enter the name of the cycle you want to create. Make sure the cycle name is complete and detailed, as shown in the image below. Then, click “Create”.

    No. Button/Field Name Description
1 Edit cycle name Button for changing the cycle name or changing the cycle purpose: performance, competency, or evaluation.
2 Employment status Select the employee status for which you want to configure the Evaluation review.
3 Filter of your employee(s) Filter employees by a specific Branch, Organization, Job position, or Job level.
4 Select template Select a template for this Evaluation review.
  6. Next, you can complete the Review period section, as explained below.

    No. Button/Field Name Description
1 Single review Select this to apply only one review period, so you need to select when the review will begin before the employee’s employment period ends. For example, 7 days before the employee’s employment period ends.
2 Multiple review periods Use this option if you want to apply multiple review stages. Set the interval in months in the Review every field and the duration for employees to complete the evaluation through Review window. In the following example, the review period is set to every 2 months, with employees given 3 days to complete the evaluation.
3 Re-include employees with extended employment period Check this option if you want the system to automatically re-include employees whose employment period has been extended in the current review cycle. If it is not checked, the employees do not need to be evaluated again in this cycle.
  7. Next, you can select and configure one or more of the following review methods.
