On the New & Active page of Talenta Insight, you can view information about employees in the company, such as the number of active employees, new hires, employee transfers, retention rate, average tenure, and HR-to-employee ratio. You can also view the Headcount Trend and Breakdown reports presented in chart form. The following is an explanation of the data displayed on the New & Active page:
Active All Active Employee (Stat Card): Displays the total number of employees who are currently active in the company.
New Hire (Stat Card - Clickable): Shows the number of new employees who joined in the selected month. You can click it to view the complete list.
Employee Transfer (Stat Card - Clickable): Displays the total history of employee transfers, demotions, or promotions in the current month. You can click it to view the details.
Retention Rate (Stat Card - %): The percentage of employees who remain with the company during the current month. The calculation formula is:
Retention rate = Active employees this month - New employees this month x 100
Active employees at the beginning of the monthAverage Tenure (Stat Card): The average length of service of all employees in the company (in years).
Ratio HR to Employee (Stat Card - Ratio): The ratio of the number of employees handled by one HR staff member (in the format 1 : N). It is calculated based on job titles that contain HR-related keywords (such as HR, HC, GA, Recruitment, Payroll, etc.).
Headcount Trend (Line Chart): A monthly trend chart comparing changes in Total Active Employees, Current Employees, and New Hires (New Hires).
Headcount Breakdown (Bar Chart): The distribution of the number of employees by Branch, Organization, Job Position, Job Level, Grade, Employment Status, Service Length, and Demographics (Gender, Age, Education, Religion, and Tax Status).
Reprimand Trend (Line Chart): A monthly trend chart of issued Warning Letters (SP), which can be filtered by category type.
Employee List (Data Table): A dynamic row-by-row employee data table that follows the applied filters.
The following are the steps to access New & Active information in Talenta Insight.
- Go to insights.talenta.co.
- Then, select New & active.
At the top, you can see the filters that you can use to filter the data in the Headcount Trend and Breakdown sections. You can select filters based on the date range, employee status, Branch, Organization, Job Level, and Job Position, then click “Apply filter”.

Next, you can view employee information data.

Using the following formula:
- Total Last Day Employee = The total number of employees with a join date (join_date) <= the last date of the current month.
- Total First Day Employee = The total number of employees with a join date (join_date) <= the current date.
- Total New Hire Employee = The total number of employees whose join date month is the same as the current month.
- Total Retained = Total Last Day Employee - Total New Hire Employee.
- Retention Rate = Total Retained/Total First Day Employee.5 Average tenure Displays the average length of time employees have worked at the company.
Using the following formula:
- List Employee Max Tenure = Retrieves the highest Tenure value where the resignation month >= the current month.
- Total Average Tenure = Retrieves the average of List Employee Max Tenure (Average).6 Ratio HR to employee An estimated quantitative ratio between HR and employees based on job titles (HR, HC, GA, SDM, Human, General Affair, People, Sumber Daya Manusia, Payroll, Recruitment, Benefit, Compensation, and Company Benefit). 7 Export history icon Used to view exported new hire and employee transfer data. -
