How to Manage Employee Payslip Settings

Payslips or payslips are proof of receiving a salary from the employer to the employee. On Talenta, those of you who have the Superadmin role can easily manage employee Payslip settings through the Payroll menu. In Payslip Settings, you get access to hide/show the information listed in Payslip Information. But before that, you can learn how to run payroll, here.

Following are the steps for managing employee payslip settings:

  1. Select the Payroll menu.
  2. Then, click “Settings”.

  5. Then, you can see the settings display as follows:

    Explanation:
    1. Payroll Information
      The due date set is formatted in the payroll slip. There are 2 (two) options, namely:
      • Monthly Payroll Period: Displays the month name only.
      • Monthly Payroll Cut Off: Displays set Payroll cut-off start and end dates.
    2. Employee Information
      Setting the display of employee information that will be displayed on the payslip associated with employee information.  Here are the employee information fields that you can choose to  hide/show  :
      • Employee  ID and  Name  (  Default  and cannot be set).
      • Job position, Organization, Grade/level, PTKP status, NPWP (can be set  hide/show  ).
      • There is one additional field that you can include in the Payslip.  Here are the options:
        1. Branch
        2. Full Basic Salary
        3. Bank account
        4. BPJS of Employment
        5. BPJS Kesehatan
        6. Employment Status
        7. Employee Tax Status
        8. Fields set in Custom Fields
    3. Attendance and Overtime
      Display attendance and overtime settings on Payslip.
      • Attendance Summary
        This setting was previously located in ESS Settings and was moved to this page to make it easier to access one-door Payslip settings.  You can display the Attendance Summary by ticking it.
      • Overtime Multiplier
        Same as Attendance Summary, this setting was previously located in ESS Settings.  You can display the Overtime Multiplier by checking it.
      • Attendance and Overtime Breakdown
        This setting is a new setting that functions to add 2 additional pages to the Payslip. This additional page will contain employee attendance and overtime data for one Payslip period. Here's an example of the payslip:

    4. Payroll Components
      This setting provides options to display several fields related to benefits. In Payroll Components, you can set the display of information from the Superadmin and  Employee sides according to each column.

      You can slide the entry page  by  clicking the page number.

      • Basic Salary
        You can choose an option to hide/show the basic salary of employees. 

        If you choose to hide the base salary, it will apply if the amount is 0. If the amount is not 0, then the Base Salary will be shown on the payslip as part of  Earnings.

      • JKK, JKM, JHT Company, Jaminan Pensiun Company, BPJS Kesehatan Company
        To  hide/show  benefits related to BPJS resulting from running payroll.
      • Benefits
        Benefits components previously contained in the Payroll Component. This setting allows Superadmin to be able to choose options to hide/show benefit components.
    5. Reimbursement
      This setting previously existed in Reimbursement which provided options to hide/show information displayed from the Superadmin or Employee side according to each column. This arrangement applies to reimbursement that is not included in the take-home pay.

      You can slide the entry page by clicking the page number.

    6. Payslip Note
      In this section, you can add notes on the payslip that will be given to employees. This record is useful for providing information regarding salary payments for that month.

      This record will affect all employee payslips and can be applied immediately without having to re-run the payroll.
