How to Create a Leave Roster Policy

Some companies have leave policies according to company policy. One of them is roster leave. However, before doing that, you can first add a time off policy.

Here are the steps:

  1. Enter the "Settings" menu. 

  2. Then, in the Time category, select Time off

  3. Complete the required information. Enter the name of the roster leave policy in the Policy Name field and the code for the roster leave policy in the Policy Code field. Then, enter the effective date of the roster leave policy in the Effective date field and a brief description of the roster leave policy in the Policy Description field.

  4. Click "Continue" to continue the setup.

  5. In the Policy Type section, select Roster Leave

     

  6. Select other leave policies that you want to count as working time in the "Enable time off to be counted as working days" section. Then, select the Time off policy that you want to count as working days in the Select time off policy column.

    - If no leave is selected, the leave roster will only take into account employee attendance. 
    - This field is calculated based on attendance with code H for all shifts. 
    - This field can be added to the time off policy.

  7. Enter the conversion of total working hours to leave balance.

  8. Select the expiry date for the roster leave balance in the column Balance allocation expiration. You can choose No expiration date, In months, or On selected date.

  9. Click Continue to proceed to the roster leave policy settings page. Policy rules.

  10. Create a roster leave policy according to your company's policies for each department by clicking the toggle button, which stands for Enabled (active) or Disabled (inactive). If everything is correct, click "Continue".

  11. Apply these settings to specific employees, or all employees, by clicking "Assign & update employee". Then, you can apply this policy automatically to new employees by clicking the "Make this the default time off policy for new employees" checkbox.

After the roster policy is made, employees can immediately request time off via Talenta Mobile. Employees can also history of time off that has been proposed.
